Appropriate diagnostic testing (eg. blood, urine, saliva and stool) is often crucial in aiding us to determine what is going wrong physiologically within the body and not allowing the body to function optimally.
At our clinic we offers a variety of health tests that will not only help us diagnose you more accurately, but also help us determine and pin point the exact root of your underlying symptoms.
Conventional Blood Work
Conventional Blood and Urine testing (such as glucose levels, cholesterol levels, thyroid hormone) is also available from your Naturopathic Doctor through Gamma DynaCare Laboratories.
Food and Environmental Sensitivity Testing (IgG testing)
Food sensitivities/allergies can contribute to chronic skin conditions, digestive problems, fatigue, recurrent headaches, joint pain, and many other health conditions. Most people mistakenly believe that they are only sensitive to foods if they experience an itchy throat, hives, difficulty breathing, and watery eyes. Food sensitivities can be masked as subtle reactions, which can take the form of the chronic health conditions described above.
A food sensitivity test gives a detailed and comprehensive analysis to make accurate, precise diagnosis of food and environmental allergies. This is particularly important in gastrointestinal disorders, skin disorders, fatigue and ADHD issues.
Nutritional and Heavy Metal Testing
If you are eating a “balanced”or healthy diet and taking supplements, your body could still lack vital and necessary nutrition. These tests help you understand your individual diet needs by evaluating their overall nutritional status, assessing their functional need for vitamins and minerals, and providing recommendations for supplementation.
Saliva Hormone Testing
Saliva hormone testing is most useful for uncovering hormone imbalances. Saliva testing can accurately diagnose hormone status related to female and male hormonal imbalances related to PMS, Andropause, Menopause, Thyroid issues (Hypothyroidism and Hyperthyroidism) and Stress Hormone- Cortisol and Melatonin for sleep disturbances such as insomnia.
Comprehensive stool analysis to evaluate gastrointestinal function includes analyses of digestion, absorption, bacterial balance, yeast and parasites. This is beneficial for patients with any gastrointestinal related symptoms, such as indigestion, yeast overgrowth, constipation, and diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s and colitis.
